Frequently asked questions
How much is it compressed?
Only as much as needed: blanko24 looks for the best quality that still fits the chosen size. If the file is already small enough, you get it back unchanged.
Does my PDF stay readable?
Yes. The pages are saved again at a sufficient resolution. Text can no longer be selected or copied afterwards – for portal uploads that does not matter.
What if the size cannot be reached?
With very many pages and a very small target, the text would become unreadable. You then get the smallest readable file and a note – it is better to split the PDF.
Are my files stored?
No. The file is compressed in memory only and discarded right away.
